Biography
Amy’s practice centers around helping you create a deeper understanding of your internal world as a path towards experiencing greater connection, pleasure, and embodiment. She believes that we heal in community and utilizes the collaborative power of therapy to help clients enrich their lives.
Amy has additional training in eating disorder recovery (Ample + Rooted). As a member of the queer community, she is passionate about supporting individuals through LGBTQIA+ related issues, gender exploration, and the intersection of body dysmorphia and gender dysphoria.
With a background in health education, Amy holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Loyola Marymount University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP), licensed by the state of Tennessee. In Nashville, TN, Amy provided psychotherapy services in private practice, focusing on serving the LBGTQIA+ community, and treating body image concerns and eating disorders.
Since moving to the Rochester area, she is a candidate for the Certificate of Advanced Study in Mental Health Counseling at SUNY Brockport as she works towards New York State LMHC licensure and AASECT Certification under supervision from Daniel Rosen, LCSW-R, CST, CSTS.
