My Practice

How do you know who is right for you? Trust your gut. Remarkably if you believe the therapist sitting across from you can help, and that therapist also believes that they can help you, you are on the road to change. The therapist brings their whole self and skills, and you bring you. Most of the time it works. You will know pretty soon if there is a spark, an alliance, a sense of hope. And if therapy is not helpful it is never the client’s fault.

I love my work. We will determine how much to lift and support or how free you need to be to struggle and figure it out yourself. Some of my clients participate in group therapy. Group work greatly expands the range of therapeutic benefit. Group members find it challenging and rewarding.

I have studied trauma, brain health, sexuality, psychodynamic theory, internal family systems, relationship therapy and more. I am a certified sex therapist, trainer and supervisor of sex therapy. I also completed certification in EMDR. I am a ‘training junkie’ and engage in my own intensive psychotherapy.
