Erin Davis is a Mental Health Counselor Therapy Aide at the Rochester Center for Sexual Wellness. She earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from St. John Fisher University and completed her clinical internship at RCSW before joining the practice as a staff clinician. In addition to her work at RCSW, Erin has worked as a rape crisis counselor at RESTORE Sexual Assault Services since 2023, supporting survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones with compassion, advocacy, and trauma-informed care.
Erin believes that people make sense in the context of their lives. She approaches therapy with curiosity, helping clients understand how their experiences, relationships, and environments have shaped them. She believes that sexuality, trauma, and mental health are deeply human experiences that deserve curiosity, compassion, and nuance rather than shame or judgment. She hopes clients leave therapy with a deeper understanding of themselves, greater self-compassion, and the confidence to build lives and relationships that align with who they are.
Erin enjoys working with clients who are exploring sexuality and identity, navigating consensual non-monogamy or polyamorous relationships, healing from sexual trauma, or working through shame related to sex and intimacy. She has a particular passion for working with members of the kink community and is committed to providing knowledgeable, affirming, sex-positive care that respects each client’s unique values, relationships, and lived experiences.
Erin also has a special interest in supporting people who work with animals. Before entering the mental health field, she explored a variety of careers in animal care through work, volunteering, and shadowing experiences. As an animal lover herself, she understands the unique emotional demands of caring for animals and is passionate about helping veterinary professionals, shelter and rescue staff, trainers, and other professionals do the work they love without sacrificing themselves in the process.
