Madilynn is a Counseling Psychology PhD student at the University at Buffalo, pursuing training for certification in sex therapy under the supervision of Dan Rosen, LCSW-R, CST. She is transitioning both her doctoral research and clinical practice into the field of sex therapy because she is passionate about the importance of holistic sexual wellbeing. She believes that a healthy sex life looks different for everyone, but it is a fundamental human right.
She is open to working with individuals from all walks of life, but has a background and professional passion for working with LGBTQ+ populations. She believes in the power of a compassionate therapeutic alliance in which clients feel safe to bring their true self into therapy. Through a humanistic lens and the use of a dynamic therapeutic approach including cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness-based therapy, and feminist therapy, Madilynn will affirm your unique sexual self and walk alongside you on your journey to sexual wellbeing.
